As the Catholic church prepares for the Extraordinary Synod on Africa, to be held in Rome Oct. 4-25 on the theme “Justice, peace and reconciliation," the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns presents "Together with Africa: Celebrating hope."

Catholics in Alliance Releases National Abortion Study
Wed 27 Aug 2008Catholics in Alliance today released the first U.S. study to examine the effects of public policy on the abortion rate. As Democrats gather in Denver for their national convention, and as Republicans prepare to gather next week, the study offers findings that pro-life and pro-choice leaders from both political parties can unite behind to reduce abortions.
