Media Training

Why Media Training Matters?

Through media trainings, Catholics in Alliance empowers grassroots leaders and commentators with skills and understanding, providing the moral vision that is at the heart of the Catholic social justice movement. Workshops show participants how to convey the message of the common good and Catholic social teaching to Catholics at the local level, and how to raise awareness about advancing the message of the common good to the general public. A well-informed base of mobilized lay Catholics is essential to disseminating the social justice message.

What you will Learn…

Catholics in Alliance communication and field staff lead the workshops, which are customized to the needs of each audience. Before each session, the staff researches the group requesting training as well as local media coverage of social-justice issues. By situating trainings in a local context and using examples from local and national newspapers, Catholics in Alliance ensures that state and local networks can disseminate the common good message more effectively.
