April 7, 2008: Politics and the Common Good
Fairfield University and the Diocese of Bridgeport are inviting government leaders to discuss their mutual concerns for the “common good” on Monday, April 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Dining Room of the Charles F. Dolan School of Business. The collaborative symposium includes two panels, the first with a state senator, a first selectman, the president of a city council and a Town Council member, who will present their perspectives as public officeholders; the second includes a diocesan chancellor, a university professor, the executive officer of a world growth and income fund, and a local pastor. Attending the afternoon program and taking part in group discussions will be two city mayors, the superintendent of schools for a major city facing economic problems and other office holders.
