Catholic Charities USA will host it's first-ever National Town Hall Meeting live Webcast on Wednesday, April 2 from 1 – 4 p.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time (EDST). The Webcast will focus on the highly acclaimed paper, Poverty and Racism: Overlapping Threats to the Common Good. You only need a PC or laptop to participate.

Catholic Charities USA stressed the importance of having a candid conversation and subsequent action that changes the impact race has on poverty in this country. With this national town hall, we hope to engage Catholic Charities agencies and communities across the country to begin the conversation on the connection between poverty and racism, which is a continuation of our long-standing Campaign to Reduce Poverty in America. The webcast will also be our tribute in marking the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who gave his life to reduce poverty and racism.
