Woodstock Theological College Reflection on Migration gathering

Aug 26 2008 - 8:30am

Etc/GMT

Location: The conference will be held at St. Paul's College located at 3015 4th St. NE, Washington, DC, 20017, near the Brookland/CUA Metro stop.

This gathering is part of a larger project sponsored by the Woodstock Theological Center, the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., and Fairfield University's Center for Faith and Public Life. It seeks to build on a conference held at Fairfield University last summer which has led to work on a multi-disciplinary publication on migration from a Catholic perspective.

Click here for the agenda for the conference. The morning will consist of short presentations by Woodstock Theological Center and the Fairfield University Center for Faith and Public Life about their work and plans in this area. Following these presentations, we have asked a variety of Catholic agencies involved in planning to educate Catholics on what their faith teaches about migrants and newcomers to present on their work. We apologize that we do not have enough time for all of the participants to present, but we have allotted time for a group discussion on our collective work in the afternoon. If you have any tools or materials on Catholic teaching and migration, we would be happy to make these available to the other attendees. Please send any materials for distribution to Maura Collins at mcollins@cliniclegal.org
